The Teaching Section promotes excellence in physiology education through educational research and scholarship in physiology. This group provides opportunities and mentoring for trainees, early career faculty and established faculty to adopt and refine evidence-based teaching of physiology. The Teaching Section recognizes that research in physiology—both basic and biomedical—depends on education and that all physiologists are educators.
"APS has been my professional home from the beginning. Some say now is an exciting time to be a physiologist. Having always felt I belonged in APS, I say it has always been exciting to be a physiologist. At critical junctures, APS members have been there to mentor me and help me stay on course. I’m working to pay it forward to other Society members."
