This online and virtual professional skills training course provides input from journal editors and highly-published authors in your research area. The goal of the course is to improve your manuscript, learn about the submission process and receive feedback on your draft manuscript.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s course will be conducted With half of the course held live via Zoom. Participants will be required to complete coursework online prior to participating in the virtual, synchronous portions of the course.

Synchronous course dates and times:

  • Friday, January 15, 2021 4–7:15 p.m. EST
  • Saturday, January 16, 2021 1–5:45 p.m. EST
  • Sunday, January 17, 2021 1–5:45 p.m. EST
  • Monday, January 18, 2021 1–4:15 p.m. EST

REQUIREMENTS
Must be a graduate student, postdoctoral fellow or early career investigator who is open to critiques, wants to expand their professional network and will have a first-author completed draft manuscript prepared by December 2020.

REGISTRATION
Registration fee of $260 member and $289 non-member. Early Bird Registration Rate: $250 (member-only) by December 7, 2020.

Attendees are responsible for reviewing the course materials and requirements ahead of time to assure ability to complete the course work described in the syllabus. For special needs or requests, please notify education@physiology.org prior to the course registration deadline.

APS will attempt to honor requests on a case-by-case basis.
