Lorring RowellPlease join us for a memorial tribute and celebration of the life and contributions of Loring B. Rowell, PhD, professor emeritus at the University of Washington Department of Physiology & Biophysics, one of the most influential integrative physiologists of our time. We will discuss his seminal research in the areas of human cardiovascular control mechanisms in response to stressors including exercise and orthostasis. Speakers will also reflect on Rowell’s impact on the physiology and, in particular, the environmental and exercise physiology, communities as a mentor, friend and colleague.

Physiologists at all career levels are invited to join this webinar. Rowell's books are used in instruction in many different physiology courses and his work is known globally. The largest impact of his work has been in the areas of cardiovascular physiology and neural control of the circulation.
