Rockville, Md. (December 3, 2019)—The American Physiological Society (APS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with InsideScientific, a life science research education company based in Ontario, Canada. The goal of the collaboration is to create and present educational webinars focused on high-impact physiology research and the exchange of scientific ideas.

The partnership brings together APS’ membership of talented physiologists and InsideScientific’s experience presenting digital education programs. In addition, this joint venture further expands APS’ portfolio of member resources, providing members with the opportunity to present their latest research to the broader scientific community.

Starting in 2020, APS and InsideScientific will produce several joint webinar series in alignment with the APS mission to advance scientific discovery, understand life and improve health. The first of these series will focus on the pathophysiology of obesity and cardiometabolic diseases.

“Forming partnerships with companies like InsideScientific allows APS to give our members more value and to present ‘hot’ physiology topics in real time, as they are happening,” said Meeghan De Cagna, MSc, CAE, APS’ chief engagement and partnerships officer. “We’re excited to take our collaborations to the next level and work together in the coming year.”

“At InsideScientific, we are passionate about bringing high-value, educational content to the global biomedical and life science research communities. Webinars, virtual events and digital media continue to play a bigger role in how science and discovery are shared and understood, so we are very excited to have the opportunity to work with APS as a webinar production partner and help bring top-tier content to their members and the broader physiology community worldwide,” said Andy Henton, director and founder of InsideScientific.
