APS 2023–2024 Election Results

February 16, 2023 (Rockville, Md.)—The American Physiological Society (APS) is pleased to announce the results of the 2023–2024 leadership elections. Our new president-elect and three councilors will begin their terms in April at the conclusion of the 2023 American Physiology Summit.

President-elect

Timothy Musch, PhD, FAPS, FACSM

Musch is a University Distinguished Professor in kinesiology at Kansas State University.

Councilors

Michael Caplan, MD, PhD, FAPS

Caplan is a C.N.H. Long Professor of cellular and molecular physiology, professor of cell biology, and chair of the Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut

Karla Haack, PhD

Haack is an associate medical writer at Merck & Co., Inc. in Atlanta.

Gina Yosten, PhD

Yosten is an associate professor of pharmacological and physiological sciences at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
