Award Description
The American Physiology Society (APS) Renal Section Predoctoral Excellence in Renal Research Awards recognize predoctoral students who are first author on a renal-based abstract presented at the American Physiology Summit.
Eligibility
- Be an APS member in good standing.
- Have a primary primary Renal Section Affiliation.
Previous winners of this award are not eligible to reapply.
Criteria
Applicants must upload a copy of their first -authored abstract submitted to the American Physiology Summit under a Renal Section topic category.
Review Criteria
Applications will be reviewed for the following:
Abstract
- A clearly stated hypothesis or aim.
- The technical approach to the study.
- The pertinent results obtained with quantitative and statistical comparisons, when appropriate.
- A clearly stated conclusion.
- The significance of the results to the field.
Finalist will be notified prior to the American Physiology Summit and their posters will be judged by the APS Renal Section Awards Committee. Awardees will be recognized at the American Physiology Summit.
