The Hyatt Place does not offer shuttle service to and from the Boar’s Head Resort.  You will have to utilize the services of Uber or Lyft to/from the Boar’s Head Resort.  Be sure to download their apps and set up your account before arriving in Charlottesville.

Single/double rooms are $180 per night plus applicable sales tax (10.3%).

A $20 resort fee per room, per night will also be applied. The resort fee covers:

• high speed wireless internet access,
• complimentary in-room tablet,
• parking,
• full use of the resort’s fitness center (some individual classes may have a separate fee), and
• use of resort fishing equipment.

The deadline for making housing reservations is Sunday, May 29, 2022.

Confirmed reservations may be cancelled up to seven days prior to the scheduled arrival date without penalty. Room reservations cancelled within seven days will be billed for one night’s stay, including taxes. A credit card is required to hold the reservation.

The Madison Concourse Hotel is conveniently located near State Street, the State Capitol, University of Wisconsin campus, Monona Terrace Convention Center and the Alliant Energy Center.  It is  not far from the Dane County Regional Airport.

There are many reasons for choosing to stay at the conference hotel.

• Be in the center of activity: Enjoy quick and easy access to all functions associated with the workshop without worrying about transportation. Staying "within the block" also helps you keep connected with the informal activities and networking opportunities that occur at the hotel during the event.
• Double your networking opportunities: Have a greater chance of interacting with fellow attendees who are also staying at the conference hotel. Strike up conversations in the hotel lobby, the elevator or at the hotel gift shop, and make valuable professional connections.
• Enjoy extended stay rates: Come in a few days early or stay the weekend after the conference. The hotel will offer discounted rates based on availability.
• Keep overall event costs down: Staying at the conference hotel makes it possible to secure the space necessary for this event at a greatly reduced price, avoid penalties, and keep event—and registration— costs down.
• Additional protection: Booking at the Madison Concourse Hotel gives us the opportunity to assist you with any hotel problems you may experience while at the conference. When you choose other hotels, we have no contacts or leverage to help rectify a problem or inconvenience that you may encounter.
  

For health and safety concerns to prevent the spread of COVID-19, APS highly recommends not sharing a room another attendee you do not know. However, if you are looking to share a room with another attendee, please send an email to the APS Office of Scientific Meetings. In your message include:

We will keep your information on file until a possible match has been received and will then put both parties in contact with each other to work out the details of making the housing reservation. APS do not make housing reservations. /p>
