Thanks to generous support from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the American Physiological Society (APS) is able to distribute more than 50 New Trends in Sex and Gender Medicine Diversity Conference Scholarships. The funds will allow scientists from underrepresented backgrounds to attend our New Trends in Sex and Gender Medicine conference this October and will promote the cultivation of a larger, more diverse audience. These scholarships will help expand the impact of the APS conference program.

The New Trends in Sex and Gender Medicine Diversity Conference Scholarships is open to:

  • women,
  • people with disabilities,
  • Blacks or African Americans,
  • Hispanics or Latinos,
  • American Indians or Alaska Natives, and
  • Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders.

For more information, please see the National Institutes of Health’s Interest in Diversity statement.

To verify participation, scholarship applicants will be reimbursed for their registration after the conference has ended. Conference attendees must register to attend before applying for the scholarship program. After registering, fill out this form and click the submit button for scholarship consideration.
