Abstract Revision Policy
Abstracts will be published, unedited, as submitted by the author. American Physiological Society is not responsible for and will not copy edit abstract submissions. After the abstract has been successfully submitted, any change to the abstract title, body, funding citation, authors and/or institutional affiliations must be approved by all co-authors who have seven days to protest the revision or withdrawal
Common mistakes include:
- Duplicating the title, authors and/or institutions within the abstract body.
- Omission of author(s).
- Inappropriate inclusion of author(s).
- Omission of funding source(s).
- Incorrect institutional affiliation(s).
- Incorrect author order.
- Typographical errors such as transposing letters in common words.
- Incorrect special characters such as Greek text or mathematical symbols.
How to Request Abstract Revisions
Revision requests are made via the online abstract submission site.
- Login to the abstract submission site.
- Navigate to the Abstracts page .
- Click “Step 1 Authors” to update changes to the authors and affiliations.
- Click “Step 2 Submission” to update title, body text or funding.
