Submit an American Physiology Summit Abstract

Present your research, receive feedback from experts and connect with physiologists from across the biomedical sciences at the American Physiology Summit.

Submitting an abstract is an opportunity to share your discoveries with the physiology community, expand your professional network and contribute to the scientific exchange that drives innovation. Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for presentation during the Summit and published in Physiology.

Here’s what you need to know about submitting your abstract.

Abstract Submission 

At a Glance

• Abstract submissions open: Oct. 1.
• Submission deadline: Dec. 2.
• Submission fee: $95 per abstract (nonrefundable).
• Presenter notification: Jan. 20, 2027.
• Presentation formats: Oral and poster.
• Publication: Accepted abstracts will be published in Physiology.

Before You Submit 

• All abstracts must be submitted electronically.  
• Payment is required at the time of submission.   
• Payment may be made with Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
• A receipt for the abstract handling fee will be emailed to the submitter.   
• Submitting an abstract does not register you for the Summit.
• Registration is required separately for all presenters.   
• Abstract submission fees cannot be refunded if an abstract is withdrawn. 

What Happens After Submission?

All on-time abstract submitters will be notified by email on Jan. 20, 2027, of their presentation date, time and format. Abstracts selected for oral presentation will also be scheduled as a poster presentation.
