Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstract Fee
- A $75 nonrefundable fee is required for each submitted abstract.
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically.
- Payment is required at the time of submission by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. A receipt will be emailed to the first author only.
- If an abstract is withdrawn, the submission fee cannot be refunded.

Abstract Requirements
What to Include
Each abstract should contain:
- A clear statement of the study objective (if not in the title).
- A brief description of methods.
- A summary of results (if applicable).
- A statement of the conclusions.
Follow standard formatting guidelines:
- Use a short, specific title.
- Capitalize initial letters of trade/brand names.
- Use standard abbreviations for units of measure.
- Spell out nonstandard abbreviations in at first mention, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
All investigations involving humans and animals reported in abstracts must have been conducted in conformance with guidelines for experimental procedures as set forth in the Declaration of Helsinki and APS Guiding Principles for the Care and Use of Animals in Research and Training. The Organizing Committee will refuse abstracts in which evidence of adherence to these guidelines is not apparent.
Abstract Availability
All abstracts submitted for the conference—unless withdrawn—will be available via a password-protected SharePoint site one week before the conference and up to a month after the conference. Abstracts will be reproduced directly from the electronic submission and will serve as the official conference proceedings. Instructions for citing abstracts will be included on the website.
