The Cardiovascular Section Awards Committee is charged with identifying the most qualified applicants for the awards noted below. The committee is comprised of sixteen members (including the Chair) that include principal investigators from all levels of seniority and all major universities/institutes across the world that are members of the APS Cardiovascular Section. It should be noted that no member can serve on the committee for more than three consecutive years.
Researcher Awards
Awards eligible for researchers at the early-, mid- and established career stages, e.g., assistant, associate and full professor (or equivalent in a non-academic career sector).

- Robert M. Berne Distinguished Lectureship – March 9
Trainee Awards
Awards eligible for trainees include undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows (or equivalent in a non-academic position).
