How to Submit an Application for an APS Award

To apply for an American Physiological Society (APS) award, the first step is to log into the application site with the email address and password associated with your APS membership.

Next, please review and update your profile. It is important to keep your APS profile and contact details up to date to ensure seamless access to the resources available to you as a member, including our awards. Providing APS with these details through your account will help us personalize your experience further.

Once your profile is confirmed to be correct or updated, you will land on the application dashboard. A list of awards you are eligible for, based on the award criteria and your profile, will populate. Select the award and begin the application process. If you do not see any awards listed, then your profile and the award criteria are not a match. You may contact us for assistance.

Before you begin an application, you will be asked to disclose whether or not you have been the subject of a filed allegation or complaint that resulted in a finding of professional misconduct, or are you currently the subject of a filed allegation or complaint of professional misconduct. All honors and awards are conferred at the Society’s discretion, and it retains the right to grant, defer or decline to grant an honor to any person. View the full policy. You may preview the required Honors and Awards self-disclosure form

You may save your work in a draft mode until the application deadline. Please be sure to upload all required documents and answer all application questions by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on the deadline date.
