The American Physiology Summit (#APS2025) provides the perfect environment to reunite with your global physiology community, a diverse yet close-knit cohort of scientists working, learning and teaching in the life sciences. The meeting is stacked with opportunities to connect with old and new friends alike. From a welcome festival to off-site meetups and workouts, there's something for everyone.

Thursday, April 24

Institute of Marine & Environmental Technology (IMET) TourSOLD OUT
9:30–11:30 a.m.
Location: Meet in the Hilton Hotel Lobby

Open to member and nonmember attendees—registration required. Meet in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel at 9:30 a.m. and we will walk over to the IMET together. Our group will meet with the Executive Director to learn about the facility and research, and then the group will breakout into smaller tour groups.

Welcome Festival for All Registrants
5:45–7 p.m.
Location: Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Open to all attendees—must wear badge to be admitted to ballpark. Celebrate the start of the Summit with a lively party for all Summit registrants.

Presidents’ Reception—Invitation Only

Trainee MeetupSOLD OUT

Open to member and nonmember trainees—registration required. Immediately following the welcome festival, join Summit trainee attendees at Pickles Pub. APS has sponsored the first round of drinks and appetizers; cash bar after that

LGBTQIA+ Meetup
9–11 p.m.

Open to all attendees—registration required. Stop by the LGBTQIA+ networking event and connect with fellow Summit attendees. APS has sponsored the first round of drinks; cash bar after that.

Runners Meetup
6 a.m.

Open to all attendees—registration required. Please arrive no later than 6 a.m. in the Hilton hotel lobby. Join fellow runners for a 5k run/walk around Baltimore.

Career and Professional Development Networking Breakfast

Purchase your ticket through the registration portal. 200 tickets are available. Meet women in physiology and representatives from different industries beyond academia.

This is a new combined networking event for the Women in Physiology Committee, Career Showcase and Martin Frank Diversity Travel Award Recipients. Holiday Ballroom 6; 2nd Floor.

PhysioHub
10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Location: Baltimore Convention Center, 1 West Pratt St., Baltimore, MD

The PhysioHub is the heart of the Summit experience. Each day, there will be new and exciting opportunities for scientific exchange, networking and collaboration. Plus, you can play games, pose at the photo booth and connect with fellow physiologists.

Poster Receptions
5:15–7 p.m.
Location: PhysioHub, Baltimore Convention Center, 1 West Pratt St., Baltimore, MD

Open to all attendees—no registration required. Festive poster receptions on Friday and Saturday evenings in the PhysioHub provide lively exchange of the most recent advances in physiology and related disciplines. Each Summit attendee receives one drink ticket with their badge. Cash bar.
