From Concept to Classroom, a Center for Physiology Education event, is designed for educators learning how to effectively incorporate core concepts into their courses. The 2026 conference takes place on-site before the  American Physiology Summit.

What Are the Core Concepts of Physiology? 

The core concepts of physiology are big ideas that provide a framework for understanding a discipline. They are applicable across all physiological systems and facilitate the application of knowledge to learn new content. Educators can use the core concepts of physiology to organize and teach physiology content at any level. Learn more about the core concepts.
