The New Reviewer Training Program, from the American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Comparative and Integrative Physiology (AJP-Regu), is aimed at early-career investigators, including postdoctoral fellows and faculty up to the rank of assistant professor or equivalent. The program provides early-career physiologists with the skills necessary to successfully review a manuscript and construct an effective critique.
Those who complete the training session and successfully complete a review of a submitted manuscript for AJP-Regu will have the opportunity to join the journal’s Early Career Review Board.
Early Career Review Board members will be asked to serve as junior editorial board members. They are among those preferentially selected to review manuscripts and provide input into the future of the journal.
