Do we care about the history of our scientific research fields? In a recent editorial, Function Editor-in-Chief Ole Petersen, CBE, MD, FRS, discussed the historical importance of scientific discoveries. While science is supposed to be a rational evidence-based activity, we live in a time where unscrupulous “influencers” can spread uncertainty and allow radical misinterpretations of historical achievements in the sciences. In this webinar, our panel of four world renowned researchers will talk about the importance of getting the history of research fields correct.
