In our commitment to creating an environment where individuals can exchange ideas and be safe, accepted and respected, the American Physiological Society is working to develop a supportive community in which women in physiology can excel and thrive. In celebration of Women’s History Month, our diversity, equity and inclusion webinar series continues with panelists sharing how they use their voice to bring positive change and success in science, and how they achieve balance in their professional lives.

Presenters will expand on the American Chemical Society’s “10 Things Everyone Can Do to Support Women Scientists.” Topics include:

  • the importance of allies, coaches, mentors and sponsors;
  • inviting women to organize and speak at conferences and serve on committees and editorial boards; and
  • nominating women for leadership roles.
