The Center for Physiology Education Advisory Board is excited to gather with our educator community to share plans for the Center’s inaugural year. We welcome your participation in this discussion, and we hope you leave as excited as we are about the upcoming year of programming and community engagement. 

Attendees will learn more about the Center for Physiology Education website and learning management system resources. The full offerings of the Center for Physiology Education community-building events will continue throughout the 2022–2023 academic year.

Dee U. Silverthorn, PhD, FAPS, FAAA, FAAAS, is a professor emerita in the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin). She was previously a Distinguished Teaching Professor of Physiology at UT Austin. She earned her doctorate from the University of South Carolina.

Terrence Sweeney, PhD, FAPS, is chair of the Center for Physiology Education. He is a professor, and physiology program director at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. Sweeney earned a BA from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, and master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Rochester.
